Our Rainbow Project was launched in June 2020, by Luanne & Harry, in memory of their little boy born sleeping called Jonathan Joseph Rimmer. During her pregnancy, Luanne felt there was no support, and she was not able to express concerns, or fears during her pregnancy. Luanne felt that she needed something to identify her rainbow baby, without her having to verbally say she was a baby loss mum. It was a taboo 15 years ago, and still is today for so many parents, hence the reason for the launch of our Rainbow Project.
The Rainbow Project now supports parents who are under a Rainbow Midwife at the following hospitals:
North Manchester General Rainbow Midwives
The Royal Oldham EPAU
Ormskirk Hospital
RVI Newcastle
In addition to this we have provided our "Rainbow Bags” to Community Midwives in Canvey, Joel The Complete Package, and the Lighthouse Therapy Service.
We would like to thank our Director Joyce, our Admin Sue & our volunteers for their creativeness and handmade with love keepsakes. A special thank you to the ladies from Tiny Tots Micro Craft Group & Paige's Warriors for their kind donations. Thank you to Joel The Complete package who provide our literature and journals for Rainbow parents.
